DID YOU KNOW...

The 28th Ga Heavy Field Artillery Company C is our official name for our non-profit papers, but we actually very rarely portray a Confederate unit.  Our Union impression for artillery is the 1st Ohio Light Artillery and our Union impression for infantry is the 76th Ohio Veteran Volunteers.

DID YOU KNOW...

When we do artillery, we haul our cannon from it's housing in Lumpkin, Georgia, to the event site.  Our cannon is a Bronze Napoleon which was christened "Fire and Brimstone" on her commissioning in 1995 from Cannons Ltd. in Coolville, Ohio.  Fire and Brimstone's barrel alone weighs in at 1,228 lbs.  When coupled with her carriage the total weight comes to around 2,500 lbs.

Welcome to our Website!

The 28th Ga Artillery is a non-profit group of civil war reenactors committed to providing history education through hands on activities.  Within this site you will find photos of some of our most memorable events over the past year.  Enjoy browsing and please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about what we do or would like information on joining our ranks.

Sincerely,

Jenny Ray, company Adjutant.
